CGA Teams will compete with private schools and organizations similar to our own in the GICAA league. GICAA will schedule regional meets, tournaments, and a state championship.

Enrollment opens August 1 and closes October 1. Participation fee for the 2017/2018 season is $150. Take advantage of the Early Bird rate of $125 by enrolling before Sept. 1. There is a 20% discount for a second (or third) child in the same household. Fee includes league fees, tournaments, and use of equipment. All high school archers are eligible to letter.

Mt Pleasant Baptist Church (5455 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, GA off of Hartley Bridge Rd) has allowed us to establish an archery range in their gym.  Every archer is required to assist with a fundraiser to help pay for electric bills and maintenance at the gym.  More details will be announced when the event is finalized.  Donations can be made directly to the CGA archery program and are 100% tax-deductible.

In each tournament that CGA teams enter, the “team score” is comprised of the top scorers from each school.  Every CGA archer is expected to compete and do their best in each tournament.  Some tournaments will have individual awards for top 3 Male and Female archers in both High School (Varsity) and Middle School levels.   So the “team” may not collect enough points to win awards, but individual archers may receive an award based on their personal scores.

To be eligible to compete in a NASP Regional tournament, the team must meet minimum scores at the District tournament.  If our performance is high enough at NASP Regionals, we will advance to the NASP State tournament.  The top 2 teams from each State are invited to attend NASP National Tournament in Louisville, KY.

There is a possibility that the team (or individuals) could compete in the 2018 NASP World tournament held in Orlando, FL in July.  Additional information will be updated on the website when available.

GICAA State tournament is open to all GICAA Archery teams – some of which we may compete against in NASP tournaments.

As soon as the 2017 archery tournament schedule is available, we will select our tournaments and notify parents. Reminders for practices and tournaments will be emailed and/or texted to parents.
